Here we are~ Kayaking Bluff Point

Howdee all,

I still have some great hikes and scenery from New Hampshire yet to post.

I will get to that soon.

Yesterday Jeff and I went kayaking with Sicksta Tammy and her Hubby Joe.

See the small plane in the photo below..top middle?

We took off from a boat launch in Groton..

A Few Willet

Sicksta and I hung out at the Beach while the boys went fishing.

While walking on the beach we were strafed by Least Tern…we walked further away from the roped off areas and they left us alone.

There must have been nests with young..though, we didn’t see them.

A small craft airport nearby..Coast Guard helicopter and small planes in and out all day.Seaweed on shell

We didn’t have our Binoculars with us..I thought these were Black-bellied Plover.

On our way back…

I was able to show my Sicksta a bird she hasn’t seen before..

Beach Walking..

Howdee all,

So here is where I left you last post..looking out to the inlet..Jeff and I walked out of the woods for a view..Groton Long Point homes in the distance.To the left..the inlet…To the right…the oceanBelow me…colorful seaweed..And a leaf from the nearby woods…

He found Waldo!!!!!

I took Waldo home for a bath..and he will live with us in Homey!

and you can all wonder…Where Waldo is as we travel..I think these are Periwinkles?

The lighting starts to change..

to the west its very bright..Behind me the sun lights up the rocks and grasses We turn the corner of Bluff point and start to head North toward the inletBack toward our car…More boulders…

Looking back toward the ocean…We continue to work our way around the rocks….And then back to the path..What started as a struggle to leave our warm comfy Homey…

Ended up being a Wonderful walk…And I decided..I would leave hibernation..up to the Bears…

Howdee all,

It was cold and blustery yesterday….Jeff and I were comfy cozy inside..

We both knew that we should exercise..after all we both want to loose a few pounds, and we cant very well lose it while sitting around.

We should go walking…I said..Yes..we should he said..

I don’t really want to I said…neither do I he said…

If I weigh myself and I lost weight he said..I wont feel like I need to walk.

Ok…I said..looking for any excuse not to go out into the cold.

Jeff weighed himself..nope..the scale told him we should walk.

So, we put on our many layers and headed out for a walk.

Neither of us wanting to go…

I can understand why Bears hibernate..

Its too darn cold to want to do anything ….wouldn’t it be more logical to do what a bear does?

Gorge ourselves on everything yummy and fattening…

Then curl up and nap the winter away…

Ok..so..I am not a bear..

So off we went..

Once we were out walking…It felt great…and it wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be.I started enjoying the crisp air…

Enjoyed how our daily walking area looked so different without leaves..II had fun finding the colorPatches of it…Patches of color amidst the gray
